Hi TI-team,

I noticed that the resonant frequency of the half-bridge LLC demo is around 13.8 kHz, which is relatively low. Typically, LLC resonant frequencies for most applications range from 80 kHz to 130 kHz. Can the RTbox2 meet such high-frequency requirements?

  • Hello,

I do not know which demo you are talking about. We have several LLC demos in our DPSDK, these operate at higher frequencies than listed.

Please note that the RTbox2 is not a TI product. I would recommend contacting Plexim. Though looking at the basic I/O function it seems to support 5MSPS for both sampling and update. I suspect his could theoretically support a frequency higher than 13.8kHz. A rough estimate i would start with should be that your frequency should be at most 1/100th of your system update/sample time. You can increase or decrease that ratio depending on how fast your transients are.

    Regards,
    Cody
