Hi,

I would like to use FreeRTOS in my application. I looked at some demos located in c:\ti\c2000_ware_x\kernel\FreeRTOS\Demo\. These demos use some libraries such as "cpu_timer.h", which is located in the driverlib directory. However, it doesn't include the f2806x family. Could you tell me what is the best way to implement FreeRTOS in my application?

Hi Hamid,

The FreeRTOS port available in C2000Ware is compatible with C2000 Gen 3 devices only. Therefore, it cannot be directly used with F2806x.

If you would like to enable FreeRTOS on this device, you can follow this porting guide available on the FreeRTOS page.

Hi Arnav,

Thank you for the reply. could you tell me how I can use RTOSINT interrupt in my application? As far as I know in demo application only cpu_timer2 is used for freeRTOS. I couldn't find any suitable document for this interrupt source.

Hi Hamid,

The naming of "RTOSINT" is a somewhat misleading here, this is a high priority interrupt not intended for direct use in the application. I suggest using the Timer 2 interrupt to run your kernel tick. This interrupt has sufficiently low priority such that it will not affect more important interrupt requests that can occur in the application
