Hi TI support team,

the Functional Safety Manual for the TMS320F2837xS requires for the ROM a VCU CRC Ceck of Static Memory Contents (see Unique Identifier ROM1).

I assume this refers to the Boot ROM sector in the SRAM that starts at address 0x003F 8000.

Which data are stored in the Boot ROM?
How to calculate the expected CRC of the data in the Boot ROM?

Hello,

The ROM is typically not safety related. However, yes, in this case ROM1 requires the CRC check on 0x003F 8000. The F2837x ROM source code is located in driverlib:

C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_5_01_00_00\libraries\boot_rom\f2837xd\revB\rom_sources

Hello Gus,

for my understanding. The Boot ROM sources are build by TI and programmed to the TMS320. Therefore, we do not add these sources to our build script and program it to the TMS320.
