We are currently using the TMS320F2808 DSP in one of our designs. We are validating all of the known DSP errata per SPRZ171T – DECEMBER 2004 – REVISED SEPTEMBER 2020. One of the errata items is, Memory: Flash and OTP Prefetch Buffer Overflow. We believe this errata does not apply to our implementation and would like TI's concurrence. Our software implementation does NOT enable flash prefetch option in the FOPT register 0x0A80. This bit remains 0 by default after reset and is never changed. Therefore, since the ENPIPE remains disabled, the errata does not apply.
Does TI agree with this disposition?
