Hi Team,

Some of the Arm MCUs offer a HW trace feature which allows us to see what is going on in the MCU with minimal invasion for like unit testing and so on. Do the TMS320F280015x-Q1 processors offer something similar?
Is there some information on quiescent current in the low power states for available for the TMS320F280015x-Q1?

2. Yes, there is information in the device datasheet on current consumption in the section 6.5 Power Consumption Summary.

Hi Allison,

Regarding the 2-nd question,

The values in section 6.5 are showing mA range for IDD and IDDIO which is way too much (target is < 100 uA ).

Am I interpreting this information correctly or do you have a different approach to an ultra-low power consumption mode?

Hi Daria,

1. There is unfortunately no HW trace feature on this device. There are other devices that have the ERAD module which can do program counter trace in case you are interested in that.

2. The low power modes are listed in the device documentation and correspond to what is seen in the datasheet. There is no ultra-low power mode beyond these. The datasheet does show some of the low power mode cases yield 0.1mA.
