TMS320F280039C: Sysconfig BOOTDEF setting for CMAC secure boot

Part Number: TMS320F280039C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG, C2000WARE

Tool/software:

Hi champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

The user wants to use 0-pin boot via CMAC secure boot and set flash boot entry point.

For example, the user wants to use 0-pin secure flash boot to entry point on 0x80000.

We do not see secure flash boot explicitly in Sysconfig drop-down list.

Would you please clarify which one should the user choose?

  • Hi Wayne,

This is a bug in the SysConfig tool, the Secure flash boot modes are missing from this drop down. The secure flash boot mode keys are identical to the flash boot mode keys except the 0x03 suffix should be replaced with a 0x0A. For example, if the key to boot from flash at entry point 0x88000 is 0x23, the secure flash boot key at the same entry address would be 0x2A.

I will see if this bug can be fixed for our upcoming release of C2000Ware (version 5.03). Otherwise it will be included in the subsequent version and I can work with you and the customer to provide a patch to the tool.

    Thank you,

    Luke
