TMS320F2800135: The difference between F280013x and F280015x

Hi,

I want to know the difference between F280013x and F280015x.

For industrial application, which chip is more appropriate.

If using F280015x series DSP, compared to the F280013x series,

whether the function of lockstep will increase the difficulty of software development.

    Hello,

    What type of end equipment is this for? That would help determine which device is best fit.

    F280015x has the Lockstep Compare Module (LCM) if you are looking to implement lockstep cores. I can loop in an LCM expert if you have questions specific to implementation.

    For software engineer using, the F280015x and F280013x have big difference?

    Hi Eric,

    If it's a typical industrial HVAC system with PFC, F280013 will be fine for the user. If it's in an automotive system, we would typically point to F280015Q1. 

    From a software standpoint, developing on either of these two devices will be comparable/the same.
