TMS320F28388D: CLB_OUTPUT_COND_CONTROL_x Field Description Question

Part Number: TMS320F28388D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Tool/software:

Greetings,

I am looking at the register descriptions of CLB_OUTPUT_COND_CTRL_x, and have a question.  Using bit 14 as an example, ASYNC_COND_EN is listed as R/W 1C-0h.  The W1C part means write 1 to clear.  This implies that if we write a 1 to that field, it will clear to a 0 which would bypass the AOC.  But the Description of that field says, “1 Enable the asynchronous conditioning path”.  The two seem to conflict with each other.  So maybe I don’t understand what the W1C means.

Thank you,

Ed
