Hi

I'm working on the ethercat currently using f28388D dsp model. I have a question related to the device id in the network. I want to know if it is possible to set device id in Dsp itself or it should only be set by the master in the network?

    Hi,

    It should be possible to set the device ID with the F28388D itself. If you look at the ESC register for device ID in the ET1100 datasheet, it should be writable by either the F28388D or the master. 

    I think you would need to use the master to give permission to the F28388D to write it. This question may be better answered by Beckhoff/ETG, but you may also be able to find an answer by going through the ET1100 datasheet.
