TMS320F28035-EP: operating ambient temperature range

Tool/software:

We are looking for MCU with operating temperature range from -55deg C, through part filter reached this part #TMS320F28035-EP.

However, datasheet section 4.4 mention ambient temperature range from -40 deg C, which is contradicting to the information in page 1 of datasheet and Figure 7-1. Device Nomenclature.

Could you please help to clarify whether #TMS320F28035MPNTEP operated from -55degC to +125DegC or -40degC to +125DegC ?

Hello Varun,

Thanks for the inquiry. The difference here from where -55C vs. 40C are listed is junction temperature versus ambient temperature. But please allow me to double check on this to see if I can provide any further context tomorrow.

Apologies for the extended delay. To solidify what I mentioned before, the device documentation specifies the abs max junction temp of -55C as listed. The recommended operating condition is listed to -40 ambient temperature. Please see the below snippet from the device datasheet for further clarification/information on these two specifications:
