Piccolo controlCard with pre qualified Devices shipped

Hi TI Folks,

I ordered a piccolo 28027 controlCard. Unfortunately this controlCard was assembled with a TMX device - useless for me since I wanted to do tests with the Boot ROM FLASH API Lib. I had contact with Customer Support and they agreed to send me another controlCard with a qualified TMS device. But - surprise, I got again a TMX assembled one.

Now my question: Is this the reality or is TI Europe just trying to get rid of their (old) stock?? I would be disappointed if all controlCards still have TMX devices assembled - this is development - equipment and should be shipped with the real parts...

Andreas,

We've updated our newer kits to include production (TMS silicon), and we've changed the part number for the tool to reflect that. Are you still ordering the part number TMDXCNCD28027? If you order TMDSCNCD28027 instead, it should be TMS silicon.

Hi Michael,

I ordered a TMDSCND28027 as you can see in my confirmation email. Must be something wrong in your stock-keeping

Hmm that is indeed strange.

If you can provide me with your email address, I can follow up with you and help get you one with TMS silicon.

I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I will personally verify that the silicon is TMS and will ship you a replacement. We will make sure to go back and check our stock as this should not have happened.

Thanks you for your suggestions. In the meantime I got the confirmation from TI Europe that they would give it another try. I will wait for their replacement. If this will still not be the right part I would like to come back to you, as you seem to be closer to the stock ...
