These are bootrom code detected status bits, customer cannot trigger these errors with their own code.

Actually in customer's application, she found that the bit 16 "Boot ROM detected an ITRAP" is triggered.

She found that when the stack overflow was over, the value of the 0x3 address was 1, which meant that bit 16 of the boot status "Boot ROM detected an ITRAP" was set.

Therefore, the customer wants to know the following questions:

1. Why does a stack overflow cause the BOOT ROM error to occur? Could you provide some advice?

2. If the stack overflows, will the MCU continue to write to the following address? Or is there a different way to do it? For example, if the customer uses RAMM1 as stack, when the stack overflows, will the values of other addresses be effected?

The ITRAP status bit is set in the ITRAP ISR in bootrom. Feel free to check the bootrom source code files in c2000ware
