ACDC Developer Kit software from F2808 to F28035

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Hello,

We have to develop a prototype of a complete sw Power Supply system composed by PFC Interleave 2Phase + FB Phase Shift + Synchr. Rect.

Microcontroller mounted to control all three blocks is Piccolo F28035.

We have bee asked from our customer to demonstrate that our POWER SUPPLY system can work and supply all the requested power and we have to do it in a short term of time.

In order to achieve this target, we would like to reuse code from Texas AC/DC Developer Kit in our application since both systems are quite similar, now we are just in the prototype stage and we want just to see we are in the right way...

Problem we find is ACDC Kit is running with F2808 and our system works controlled by F28035.

Is there an easy/quick method to be followed (some guide) to convert this F2808 code into F28035 ?

Do you think it is possible?

Thanks and best regards,

Manel.

  • Ola Manel,

This is for sure possible, I actually did something similar. By the time I did it, there was no guide around. I just went step by step to transfer the 2808 code to 2802x code. Now, with controlSuite available, this shouldn't be a big task. Study the 2802 solution thoroughly and start to transfer it to your target, by using controlSuite DPLib. Just a side note: Since you plan to use 28035 I suppose you want to use CLA as well. Implementing and debugging CLA code will certainliy be a bit of more work... Just be aware.

    Best regards

  • Hello Andreas,

Thanks a lot for your comments..., Is good to know that somebody else has already achieve it.

Just one question more, to confirm I understood your point,

The procedure which I should follow is:

         a) Start from F28035 template structure from Control Suite

         b) Then add the individual DPLib's (as PFC and FBPS) included also in Control Suite.

         c) And in parallel, complete with some control algorithms taken from the F2808 code.

That is what you want to say?

There's no other one tool, right?

Thanks once more and best regards,

    Manel

  • Manel,

It would follow your suggested procedure as well. When I did this work, there was no controlSuite around, so I had another processing.

    Best regards

    Andreas

  • Hello Andreas,

    Thanks a lot !!
