Hi experts,

I am using TMS320F2800137 -48pin configuration controller . For this i am using sysconfig to configure peripherals while configuring pins i am facing an issue i want to configure 5PWM signals (mean 10PWM pins) and 2ADC channels (mean A-Channel and C- Channel, 4 adc pins ), when i do configuration of adc  Iam getting errors . When i try with 64pin configuration Iam not getting any error. Help me to resolve this .

Suresh Mamidi

  • Hi Suresh,

What specific error are you seeing? Can you send a snippet? I just tried and am not seeing a particular error.

Thank you for your quick response ,

Here is my error snippet and also a small image of error discription  "

Did you tried device switching to 48PT in sysconfig file ? this error will come only when we configure TMS320f2800137 , part no : F280013X, package : 48PT . Do configuration first 5PWMs (both PWMa and PWMb for all 5PWM's) and then configure ADC (2-channels ADCA - channel and ADCC - channel ) I got error when i configure one channel also .

  • Hi Suresh,

Is this from importing a C2000Ware example to CCS? What CCS/C2000Ware versions are you using and what example is this?

Do you have C2000Ware_libraries_init in your main, and if yes, can you try removing it?

    Best Regards,

    Allison

  • Hi Allison,

Yeah tried removing "C2000Ware_libraries_init" also and the example project i used for this is "empty_driver_lib" this is imported from C2000Ware examples only.See the error occurred only when i switched from 64PT to 48PT  try switching controller pin configuration

    Suresh

  • Hi Suresh,

What versions of C2000Ware and CCS are you using? Are they the latest? Can you try opening a brand new workspace and importing the empty example again? I still don't see this error on my end/cannot recreate it still.

    Best Regards,

    Allison

  • Hi Allison,

My CCS version is 12.0 and C2000ware version is 5.03.00.00 ( I tried earlier versions also). Could you share your C2000Ware version , CCS version and also syscconfig to me , it would be helpful to me .

    Regards,

    Suresh

  • Hi Suresh,

I am using CCS 12.7 at the moment, though I know there is a newer 12.8 version available as well. Also, SysConfig version 1.21 and C2000Ware5.03.

Can you send me the erroneous SysConfig file? I can try importing it into my setup to see if I am able to view the same error.

    Best Regards,

    Allison

  • Hi Allison,

I am unable to attach .syscfg file in attachment . Could you suggest me something else to attach it

    Best Regards,

    Suresh

  • Hello Allison,

Here i attached on Screen shot which Iam getting when i try to add .syscfg file to ccs

    Thanks & Regards,

    Suresh

  • Hi Suresh,

Can you send you CCS project? I can then try on my end.

    Thanks,

    Allison

  • Hi Allison,

Here attached project , Please find it for your reference.

  • Hi Suresh,

I saw errors when attempting to open the .syscfg file as well. To resolve it, instead of double clicking on the .syscfg file in CCS to open it in UI format, I right-clicked on it and opened with a generic text editor in CCS. At the very bottom, I removed the section of analog pinmux suggested solution lines since these can sometimes cause issues. I then was able to open the .syscfg file in UI format with no issue. I then switched from the 64-pin package to 48-pin package in SysConfig to migrate settings. This generated a few red errors in terms of the pins not being allocated correctly, but I just reassigned the ADC and PWM pins to other available GPIOs. Attached is the resolved project with 48-pin sysconfig file. Hope this helps!
