CCSTUDIO: Error pop out when generating .bin file with hex2000

Hi Champ,

I am asking for my customer.

They are following below post to generate .bin file.

Following the steps, then we are encountering the error shown, could be duplicated by using CCS12.8 on different PCs.

The error is showing hex2000 can't find the path. But it is checked the hex2000 was at the path C:\ti\cs1281\ccs\tools\compiler\ti-cgt-c2000_22.6.1.LTS\bin.

By clicking the .exe from below snippet, it executed immediately.

It is double checked that the roms_directive_file.txt and APP.out are both existing in the path, but post-build is not able to build…

Checking with the team where we are mistaking from ? Would you kindly point out ?

    Hi Champ,

    Adding more finding today. 

    There was no problem with using CCS12.7.1 version.

    The difference from the two versions, with CCS12.7.1 it is fully installed, with CCS12.8 it is ONLY installed C2k series product then having the error from above.

    Not sure if it is the bug in CCS12.8, or when installing CCS it must fully install all the products (should not be this).

    Kindly help confirm what is the root cause. If it is the bug in CCS12.8, is there a patch workaround to address the error shown ?

    Do not invoke hex2000 as a post-build step.  Instead, run it as described in the article Hex utility in CCS.  Pay careful attention to the last part titled Passing a Hex Command File.
