Microcontroller Boot-Up Issue Analysis

Issue Summary

The microcontroller is experiencing a boot-up issue when powered on. It fails to boot automatically upon power supply but successfully boots up when the GPIO (29) pin is touched by hand. This issue is consistently observed across multiple tests.

Issue Details

  • Problem: The microcontroller does not boot when the power supply is provided.
  • Observation: Boot-up initiates only when physical contact is made with the TX and RX pins by hand.
  • Reproduction: The issue persists consistently across repeated tests under similar conditions.
  • Microcontroller Model: TMS320F280025C
  • input Power Supply: 12V DC
  • If the boot mode pins are correctly pulled to a high or low value then the respective boot mode will be followed. Test the pin values on startup.

Would be good to validate the voltage on the supply rails, and that the device's reset pin not holding the device in reset.
