TMS320F2800157-Q1: minimum capacitor for power supply

Hi team,

could you help to check what value is the minimum capacitor on VDD and VDDIO pin, from the datasheet, I see the value is 0.1uF on VDDIO, 10uF for VDD. can we smaller capacitor?

Hi,

It will depend on your regulator device. A decoupling cap is required near each device power pin. You must make sure the specified supply ramp rates are met, based on your regulator and capacitance.

If using internal VREG for VDD then 10uF and0.1uF near each pin is sufficient.
