28027 flash locked, a big problem

Hello,

I have run into a serious problem: flash is locked for no reason.

I used TI demo board HVPSFB and the code, sometimes , it suddenly connot connect the target anymore and says it is locked or the device is not right.

everytime it happens,I have to replace 28027 with a new one to get work again.

this happend 4 times on two TI demo boards and 1 time on our board.

this is very probmatic and It happens not during programming flash,it is just in working mode.

anybody experience similar problemsor any ideas?

Harrison,

In a locked flash you can connect to the device by putting the device in "Wait" boot mode.

How to enter "Wait" boot mode?

Once you enter "Wait" boot mode, you can connect to the device and unlock the device.

Please check whether the addresses 0x3F7FF8 - 0x3F7FFF gets programmed when you trying to program your user code.

i never programmed that part.

it happens 5 times with the same code, same setting.

or put in this way, assuming I did, how can I know the passwrod I used to programm the chip?

it must be somewhere in CCS to prgram the chip?

in this way, I can either track if I did program the section or CCS programed the section accdentally, or I can unlock after I found the password.

If your device is locked and if you don't know the password, there is no way to know the password. However, please check On-chip flash programmer settings in CCS and check your source code whether you have assigned a section into 0x3F7FF8 - 0x3F7FFF.
