Trouble Reading PC Register:

the thread [main] stops at 0x3ff5f5 ,ESTP0, which is not in my code;

I tried to see what source line is for this part of code, but it says the source line is not available.

and  0x3ff5f5 is in the boot ROM range.

Are you in real time mode / continuous refresh?Are you calling any functions from the BOOT ROM.

Also, I would suggest to first check whether boot to flash works correctly.

yes, I am in real time mode/continuous fresh.

I don't call any functions from the BOOT ROM, actually it is a TI demo board with TI code as well, I only added flashing LEDs.

the demo kit is HVPSFB kit.

the boot to flash should work correctly as the code can work for a few minutes, after that it goes wild.

 does Watchdog play a role in this problem?

but even it does, it should go to reset and restart over, why it stops in the code residing in ROM?

Okay. You get the Rude Retry error because you are in Real time mode. After you get error at 0x3ff5f5, I would suggest you load boot rom symbol from TMS320x2802x Piccolo Boot ROM Reference Guide (Rev. A) to find which session of the code you are stuck at. This should allow you to reverse engineer the source of the problem.

ok, I found the boot rom guide.

the code is stuck at wait boot mode, but the hardware is configured to flash boot mode for debugging(TRST=0 and TDO=0), why the chip is stuck at wait mode?

You need to run "setup_TMS320x2802x_boot_rom_source.exe" and then load the BOOT ROM symbols. If you are in wait mode, then should be able to get connected to the device and then unlock the device.
