LAUNCHXL-F280049C: Not able to launch Motor Control GUI on windows 10 laptop

Hi,

I was able to successfully install MCU Motor Control GUI v1.0.0 but was not able to open it either with double click, run as administrator, from the command prompt on my windows PC. Is there any other method to open the software. I have already installed Code Composer Studio v12.8.1 and C2000 Motor Control SDK v5.2.0.0.

Hi Tashi,

What version of Windows are you running? When you followed the Install Builder application setup for the Motor Control GUI, did you download all of the GUI Composer run time files? There is a prompt to launch the GUI directly after installing, where you able to launch the GUI through that?

Hi Peter,

I am using Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2.I have installed Code Composer Studio v12.8.1 and GUI composer runtime version 6.2.0.1 from https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/non-esd/gui_composer/runtime/gcruntime-7.1.0-windows-installer.exe on Gallery · Explore the world of TI Cloud Dashboards.

Also, there is a prompt to launch the GUI directly after installing but failed to open launch.

Please help me sort out the issue.

Hi Tashi,

Can you clarify which GUI you are downloading? Are you attempting to install the older InstaSPIN Motor Control GUI or the newer https://www.ti.com/tool/MCU-MOTOR-CONTROL-GUI ?

HI Tashi,

Are you able to see the Motor Control GUI when you look for Motor Control GUI in the Windows search tool. Can you try to reinstall the MCU Motor Control GUI and launch the GUI directly from the installer view? Also be sure to add the shortcut so you can easily access the tool.
