TMS320F280034: Shared CCS C2000 project gives C200Ware version not installed error

Part Number: TMS320F280034
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Tool/software:

When we try to reopen a CCS C2000 project on the TMS320F280034 microcontroller on two different computers we receive the error on the second computer that the original project was not created on as follows:

Errors

"Product digital_power_c2000ware_sdk_software_package v5.3.0.00 is not currently installed and no compatible version is available. Please install this product or a compatible version"

This is a similar problem to one we had noted before in the E2E post

https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000-microcontrollers-group/c2000/f/c2000-microcontrollers-forum/1392882/launchxl-f280039c-build-error-gmake-no-rule-to-make-target-c/5371294?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=%20user%3A138453#5371294

However, I followed the resolution from the previous post and made the different versions of all the C2000Ware discoverable in CCS.

But the error

Product digital_power_c2000ware_sdk_software_package v5.3.0.00  persists when we open the project on another computer even after a CCS restart.

Thanks

  • Update Looks like it was also asking for the C2000Ware_DigitalPower_SDK_5_03_00. This was added and discovered but even after relaunching CCS the error persisted.

I tried deleting the project and the Workspace, then opening a new workspace and reimporting the CCS project and the error that it could not find a C2000Ware product installed went away.

  • John,

It doesn't look like the C2000 digital power sdk was added properly. For reference, here is what my Discovered Products section shows.

Please make sure your SDK is installed in the correct folder (most likely C:/ti/c2000) and then press the Refresh button on the right next to the Discovered Products section. Pressing refresh should help it check its folders and recognize/find the Digital Power SDK.

  • Unfortunately the different C2000Ware versions are in the correct folder and discovered, but the build error still persists

  • Unfortunately the different C2000Ware versions are in the correct folder and discovered, but the build error still persists

The error is not about CCS not discovering the product. The error is that the project dependency is not setup.

Check the Products associated withe the project in the project properties. Do you see an entry for SDK like below?

    Thanks
