TMS320F28379D: Serial Flash Programmer Through SCI and OTP

Hello There,

I am currently working on serial flash programming with TMS320F28379D. I've looked at this document and configured GPIO72 -> 0 and GPIO84 -> 1 . I configured SCI boot mode with this configuration. At default, SCIA uses GPIO84 and GPIO85. I have a question about this topic.

If I configured GPIO28 and GPIO29 at OTP BMODE bitfield, I will not be able to reprogram again the MCU. So, If I just use default configuration which is GPIO84 and GPIO85 for SCI and program the MCU, am i going to be able to reprogram the MCU?

Yasin,

Are you referring to being able to reprogram the OTP or the main flash?

If using GPIOs 84 and 85, programming OTP wouldn't be required in the first place.

Hi Alex,

I am referring the main flash. I am going to use GPIO84 and GPIO85. From your explanation I understand that If I use this configuration, I can reprogram the main flash. Because I am not going to program OTP. Is it correct?

Yes, the main flash will be reprogrammable.
