TMS320F28377D-Q1: Power Requirements for Sleep Mode on TMS320F28377D-Q1 MCU

Part Number: TMS320F28377D-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello,

I'm Kihoon Kim from Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Korea.

I am planning to use the TMS320F28377D-Q1 MCU in my application, and I would like to implement Sleep Mode to reduce power consumption. Could you clarify the power requirements for enabling Sleep Mode?

Specifically:

  1. Which power rails (e.g., VDD, VDDA, VDDIO) need to remain active in Sleep Mode?
  2. Are there any particular considerations for the internal or external voltage regulators (e.g., VREGENZ configuration) in Sleep Mode?
  3. Are there recommended settings for wake-up sources or configurations that I should be aware of?

I have referred to the datasheet and TRM but would appreciate additional insights or best practices for configuring the device's power supply for optimal low-power operation.

Thank you in advance for your guidance!

Best regards,
Kihoon Kim

  • Hi Kihoon,

    Thanks for your patience.

The current consumption during sleep mode is given in datasheet section "6.5.1 Device Current Consumption at 200-MHz SYSCLK". As you can see, all power rails need to be active as there would be current consumption in each supply. There is no other considerations in terms of power supply during sleep-mode.

    Regards,

    Hadi
