LAUNCHXL-F28379D: 5KW PMSM motor drive Software development with F28379D using MATLAB

Hi, I am working on software development for driving 5KW PMSM with MATLAB.I have selected TI LaunchXL-F28379D MCU with BOOSTXL-DRV8305 for this. I have run small 100W motor with this kit using MATLAB.

Now, I want to increase gate drive current for running bigger motor up to 5KW.Can you please suggest me any booster pack that can be integrated with this MCU or any other Mcu kit compatible with MATLB that can be used

for running this much rating motor. As my project is based on MATLAB, so I can use only that MCU which is compatible with MATLAB.

Sorry. There is no any booster pack can support such high power output. You have to design your own inverter board.

OK Thanks. What is the maximum limit of output power with available booster pack for this mcu?

Yes. The output power is related to the inverter module, not the MCU. The MCU and LAUNCHXL can support any output power.

Hi, Thanks. Can you suggest me any inverter module with high output power like 1KW or 2 KW or even higher that I can use with my LaunchXL F28379D MCU ? Currently, I am using BOOSTXL-DRV8305 booster pack which is having low output power with my MCU.

As replied to you. TI doesn't have this high power kit with LaunchXL. You have to design one according to your application.

OK Got it. I have attached above list of TI-MCU that are supported by MATLAB. So, Can you please check this list to see for any MCU(that can drive PMSM also) for which TI can support high power kit?

All of the C2000 MCU can support the motor control as you want as mentioned before. You can select the right one according to your application. If you are just for a research, you can select the one has example in matlab.
