I need to generate a signal that toggles between high and low at a precise frequency of 16kHz to drive TLV320AIC23B codec. Timing is illustrated in this diagram -> http://imageshack.us/f/856/spicodec.gif/

My question is, is the ConfigCpuTimer() accurate enough to produce such signal?

Also, is the diagram referenced above accurate and can be viably implemented?

16KHz toggle is no issue. The timers are all 32-bit (CPU) or 16-bit (ePWM) and each bit is a CPU clock cycle, so you can control to CPU resolution worst case. ePWM also have hi-res capability down to picosecond resolutions.

I couldn't use PWM as the PCB has been printed.

The issue with non-precise timer (CPU clocked at 60MHz) is that clock to codec may drift. But after I think about it, 60MHz/16kHz is exactly 3750 without any remainder.
