TMS320F28388D: External Crystal

Part Number: TMS320F28388D

Tool/software:

in a new project using F28386DPTP I'm trying to understand the compatibility of using the following external crystal : XRCGB25M000F3A00R0

Has anyone used this or similar setup yet?

    Hi Marco,

    Sorry, we have not tried that crystal but based on the datasheet, it seems like this crystal has a max ESR of 100ohms.  This is out of the range of the external crystal requirements for the F28388D.  Please refer to section 7.10.3.4.7 (Crystal Oscillator Specification) of the F28388D datasheet for more details.
