LAUNCHXL-F28379D: I2c protocol for communicating with external eeprom

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG, C2000WARE

Tool/software:

Hello team,

I am working on establishing i2c communication with an external eeprom , i have started with the example provided in the resource explorer named "i2c_ex2_eeprom" but the problem is entire operation is being handled by interrupts and the code is in driver library format.

I would like to request team to provide an example of i2c protocol for establishing connection with an external eeprom without interrupts and in sysconfig platform.

Any support will be highly appreciated.

  • Arup,

Thank you for the feedback. I have relayed this information to our software team, but please note that this will not be an immediate update to C2000WARE.

    Best Regards,

    Aishwarya

  • Aishwarya,

    Thank you for the reply.

I would like to request you if could expedite the process of providing an example of i2c protocol for establishing connection with an external eeprom without interrupts and in sysconfig platform.

    waiting for your earliest reply.

  • Arup,

I understand, and I will check in with the team. But based on your timeline, I would highly recommend porting the I2C configuration settings from the "i2c_ex2_eeprom.c" file of into the blank "c2000.syscfg" file and making the appropriate updates to use polling instead of interrupts. During this process, if you have any specific questions, I am happy to help.

    Best Regards,

    Aishwarya
