Hi champs,

I am asking this for our customer.

The user wonders if they can connect OUTPUTXBAR to INPUTXBAR on the same GPIO pin without any external connection?

Any concern or risk?

For example,

CLB3 OUT4 -> OUTPUTXBAR6 -> GPIO9 -> INPUTXBARx -> ECAPx

Thats interesting. As per my understanding it is NOT doable.

Hi Uttam,

The reason here is to use the GPIO (GPIO9 here) for debug and some other external purpose.

Hi Uttam,

The user is trying to implement this on Sysconfig GUI but found this error when connecting CLB OUTPUT XBAR to a GPIO, which is used as GPIO input for INPUTXBAR.

For example, to connect CLB1 OUT1 to GPIO1 like below.

Set GPIO1 as input for INPUTXBAR use

Can the user ignore this error?

Hi Wayne,

You dont need to configure the GPIO instance. Instead can use INPUTXBAR as below

Also, For this: CLB3 OUT4 -> OUTPUTXBAR6 -> GPIO9 -> INPUTXBARx -> ECAPx

You are configuring CLB_OUTPUT_XBAR to ECAP this can be done directly (without GPIO nor INPUT_XBAR)

Let me know if there is some specific customer requirement. If its useful we can add it to sysconfig also.
