2806x header include (sysctrl.h)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8312

hallo,

I noticed that between v100 and v110 the sysctrl.h file has changed. it changed "cosmetically" but also the PCLKCR3 register has no longer the "GPIOINENCLK" field.

can you please explain what does this bit do (from the datasheet it's really unclear) ?

furthermore, why did you remove it ?

there are examples for motor control kits (like drv8312 kit) that write to this bit...

at v110 header include file this field had changed to "reserved"...

can you please explain

thanks

Ari

This bit was used in previous designs to turn off the input qualifier clock.  The idea was to save power - but we found that it really didn't do much.

It was removed because it is not used in the 28069 design.

It can be removed from any project that writes to the bit.  I will log a bug against the drv kit.

Our apologies for any confusion this has caused.
