TMS320F280041C: MotorControl SDK ADC result format problem

Greetings! I am working with this uC for a very first time and I have a problem with the ADC result format. It seems the ADC returns 12-bit signed value or I explain it to my self this way. When I apply half of the Vcc voltage(1.65V) to a pin the result is around 1024. It has to be 2048(half of the 4096) on my opinion. I tried the adc_ex1_soc_epwm => same results. I need this to setup MotorControl SDK which expects result in 4096 format.

What am I doing wrong? Do I have to rework the entire user.h of the MotorControl SDK to 2048? I can`t find such setting in the adc registers. Or may be it is hardware related?

Hi Pavlin,

Are you using control Card or Launchpad?

Also, Result of ADC depends on 12/16 bit and also on reference and input voltages. Can you please double check on them?

I found it! In the default Hal.h file the standard adc setupt has this directive ->ASysCtl_setAnalogReference1P65 which doesn`t have to be there. I set the reference voltage to external and everything works fine!
