TMS320F280041C: MotorControl SDK ACIM parameters

Part Number: TMS320F280041C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

Tool/software:

Greetings! I am using conical rotor ACIM with your MotorControl SDK. It seems the motor ID lab(Lab05) is not quite correct with this type of motors. So am trying to determine the motor parameters alone. So did a DC test, No load and Block rotor test. So I menaged to determine the rotor and stator resistances(Rr and Rs), rotor and stator inductances(Ls and Lr). I am not sure if you are marking Lr=Ls_q and Ls=Ls_d... The main problem are the formulas for the Rate_Flux and Magnetizing current. Can you tell me what formula do you use? I have one which uses the current from the No load test and sin(fi)

Im=I*sin(fi) and another using applied voltage and Xm

Im=V/Xm.

these two formulas return different values.

It is the same with the rated flux.

Can give me an advice here?

Thanks!

  • Hi Pavlin,

Yes, the motor ID in Motor Control SDK doesn't support ACIM. In addition, the motor ID can only identify Ls.

    Thanks,

    Jiaxin

  • I had done the ID procedure with F28069M for ACIM. It worked but I am concern about the results as I said. So What should I put into these settings?

Are there any formulas used by TI?

I noticed that rated flux should be in the range of 0.04-0.06Webers, but in the program the default setting is 0.8165*380.0/50.0 = 6.2Webers. I can transform the calculated values to this format if it is the prefered.

  • Hi Pavlin,

Just want to follow-up if you have figured out the question. You can use the software in the MotorWare to identify the ACIM parameters with F28069M. The rated flux is calculated based on motors specs.

    Thanks,

    Jiaxin
