Hi TI Team,

We are working on the TMS320F28069 Controller (C2000 Series) and currently use Code Composer Studio (CCS) for our development (build, debug, and test). We have two questions:

We want to automate the build process on GitLab using a CI/CD pipeline. Could you please suggest the necessary steps?
We would like to move away from CCS dependencies. Can we use another test editor like VS Code, Notepad++ for development? If so, what is the procedure and required steps?

The CCS CLI project commands are often used in an automated build environment:

Other than that, we doesn't have any specific recommendations.

There are many people who use an external editor instead of the one inside the CCS environment for code development. You can use the CCS CLI project commands to build the project or build using the CCS IDE. It is recommended to use the CCS editor for source level debug however.

Which version of CCS are you using? 'ccs-server-cli' would apply for CCS Theia and CCS 20+

One more question: Is it necessary to match the HASH of compiled file (CCS and CLI)?

Even I use CLI only to build the same source code, each time HASH is changed? why this behavior?

Are you referring to the git hash of the source files?

Hi Ki,

No, I built the project, computed the MD5 hash of the .out file, and saved it. After rebuilding without any code changes, the hash was different.
