TMS320F28377S: CCS/TSM320F28377S: error #10263 and #10264

Part Number: TMS320F28377S
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, C2000WARE

Tool/software:

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to debug an example project from TI’s controlSUITE, but I’m running into the following compilation errors:

Because of these errors, the debugging process doesn’t start at all. Has anyone encountered this issue before? I’d appreciate any help on how to resolve it.

Thanks!

  • HI Seung Soo,

It looks like your linker command file (.cmd) has multiple and conflicting definitions for the different memory sections. Can you confirm that you don't have the conflicting definitions in your file. The other factor could be that you're simultaneously including a RAM and FLASH based versions of the linker command files.

    Regards,

    Ozino

  • I'll also recommend that you consider using the device support files now available in C2000Ware. Please note that controlSUITE is now deprecated and no longer supported.

  • Hello Ozino

Since I’m new to this, I don’t know how to read a linker command file. Additionally, when I followed "Go to Resource" on the code that caused an error, the file 28377S_RAM_lnk.cmd appeared, and its contents are as follows:

Is this the linker command file (.cmd) you were referring to?

Thank you for taking the time to respond despite your busy schedule.

    Best regards,
    Seungsoo Kim

  • Hi,

Yes this is the linker command file. I don't see any conflicting definitions. I suspect there must a FLASH version of this same file included in your project. Can you confirm. Please note you should only have one of these files enabled at any given time. Make sure to exclude the file not associated with the build configuration.

    See screenshot below:

See this document below for more information on linker command files.

  • I set 28377S_FLASH_lnk.cmd in the Project to Exclude from Build, just as shown in the screenshot, and confirmed that debugging works properly without any errors.

Thank you sincerely for taking the time to respond despite your busy schedule.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Seungsoo,

Glad to hear you got your project working. Appreciate the feedback!
