F021FLASHAPI: F021 Flash API with DO-178C

Tool/software:

I am looking to develop software (SW) for the TMS570LC43x Hercules MCU (Cortex-R5F) that follows the safety critical software objectives in RTCA DO-178C, similar to what is in this forum post.

Since the SW will need to perform flash operations (erase/program/read), I am seeking to access the source code of the F021 Flash API in support of qualification to the DO-178C objectives.

Could you please advise me on the next steps for this request?

Hi Hannah,

TI does not normally distribute the source code of F021 flash library. The reason is that modifying the code can potentially impact the flash in the devices. A modified API must not be used in your application. For creating a flash programming solution, the flash API library must be used as provided by TI.

For certification purposes we can provide source code to the customer, if they have a valid NDA with TI.
