LAUNCHXL-F280049C: How to generate PSFB signals using C2000 launchpad board

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F280049C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSCNCD280049C, TMDSHSECDOCK

Tool/software:

Hello,

Is it possible to use LAUNCHXL-F280049C or any c2000 ref board to generate phase shifted full bridge signals?

If yes, please, explain how and what information sources and software can be used

thank you,

  • No, you cannot do that. You need to generate peak current to see PCMC action. LAUNCHXL-F280049C cannot generate peak current.

  • Shamim,

i hope it is just misunderstanding.

I am not talking about a closed loop system/ power supply, i am just asking about open loop Phase shifted modulation signals:

As you change an input (presumably voltage on ADC input) 2 digital outputs generating pulses in antiphase change their time position/ phase relative to 2 other similar pulses. Duty cycle is 50%.

This is definition of PSFB modulation. It has nothing to do with currents.

    My question:

is there a good explanation of generation of PSFB modulation with example? Reference board can be different, of course.

  • Please, also, advise, what Launchpad board or Controlcard is best for generating PSFB signals and experiment with them.

May be, TMDSCNCD280049C daughter board together with TMDSHSECDOCK baseboard docking station would be better?

    thank you
