TMS320F28P650DK: etherCAT slave hardware design

Could anyone answer my questions?

In context of EtherCAT, GPIO_148 and GPIO_149 are PHY0 and PHY1 LINKSTATUS respectively which is important for the software to know whether the connection is active or not. So these pins should be connected to the corresponding pins on the PHY device. Unless you already have some GPIO_xx that is being used to check LINKSTATUS of PHY0 and PHY1.

I don't understand which part of the sysconfig software these two pins should be configured in, GPIO or ECAT?
In other words, which functional module should I allocate the two pins of chip F28P650 to connect to two phys in order to correctly run Ethercat functionality?

In ECAT, you can configure these pins.

There are various modes (use cases) in sysconfig, such as CUSTOM, MINIMUM, STANDARD, ALL etc. Based on selection it lets you configure a set of pins. Based on your use case. You can select any of these. 

May I ask another question
I chose the MINIMUM mode in my design.
I found that GPO146 is connected to the LED of RUN in the reference design. So what does the signal "ESC_LED_STATE_RUN" need to be connected to?
What is the difference between "ESC_LED_RUN" and "ESC_LED_STATE_RUN"?
Where should GPO123 and GPO124 be configured for PWRDN/INT connection of phy0 and phy1 in the reference design? GPIO or ECAT?

This should clarify about the LEDs.

I didn't find any special instructions for these two pins.
Can I use two regular GPIO to connect the power down control pins of these two PHYs?
Can these two pins be configured in the GPIO module?
