TMS320F280025C: DCSM - Gel commands to unlock

Hi TI expert,

We are trying to write a GEL function to unlock DCSM. Use CJTAG to connect F280025. And refer to Gel file to execute function, OnReset(int nErrorCode)

Currently, we haven't change the password, just use default password to unlock the F280025. But we find some chips can't be unlocked successfully, about 1/100. We read the Zx_CR register and find the error chips shows Z1_CR=0x40，Z2_CR=0x60,which means Z1 is still locked.

Since not every chip have the issue, we are confused. Could you please help comment on the possible reason? Any point we should pay more attention to? Look forward to get your support. Thanks a lot.

Hi Fengyu,

On the chips that do not unlock successfully, can you read the OTP memory in the memory browser to see if the OTP is still default?

Also, if you are using the default passwords, then the device will be unlocked by the bootrom after a device reset. Are you manually locking the part using the FORCESEC register and then unlocking via the GEL file?

Tthe OTP is still default by viewing the CCS.
