Hello, I want to create a common library that can be used internally.

We generally use TMS320F28379D and TMS320F280039C microcontrollers in our projects. I am curious about if I can find out which type of MCU is used from the code block. Is there any way to do that?

I want to create MCU agnostic code and I want to include correct driverlib files wrt the model of the MCU, so I want to determine the type of MCU from code.

Hey Ben,

Thanks for the links. Especially the one showing differences between devices is really helpful. But this is not what I'm really looking for. We are using both of these MCUs actively. I would like to create a library that can somehow find out if it is running on TMS320F28379D or TMS320F280039C. I know the preprocessor directives can be used for that inside the projects, so the library can include corresponding libraries. I just wanted to explore other options.

Is there something like an ID register that I can read to find out which type of MCU the code runs on?
