TMS320F280039C-Q1: the variable initialization issue, when the structure is nested by an another structure in CLA

Part Number: TMS320F280039C-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Expert

Customer report if they claim the nested structure (the structure include another structure) in CLA, the variable value will not align with the code.

Should user avoid the structure nesting in CLA variable claim?

Thanks

Joe

  • Hi Joe,

Can you show the structure definition? Also, where in memory is the structure being stored (LSRAM or one of the CLA/CPU MSGRAMs)?

    Best Regards,

    Delaney

  • Hi Delaney

I cannot get customer code to post on e2e, could you please help to check whether there is any statement that the structure nesting can or cannot used in CLA?

I can solve the issue by claim the structure separately.

    Thanks

    Joe

  • Hi Joe,

I don't believe there should be any types of structures not allowed with CLA. Are you able to send me the structure definition via email? I would guess that the issue is more related to the size of the structure. Is the structure definition global to the CLA tasks or is it local to a specific task?

the variable value will not align with the code.

What does this mean? They aren't seeing the correct value in the Expressions view of CCS?

    Best Regards,

    Delaney
