TMS320F28P650DK: Fault registers such as CFSR, HFSR, MMFAR, BFAR, etc.

Part Number: TMS320F28P650DK

Tool/software:

In which document I can find details including memory addresses of different fault registers such as CFSR, HFSR, MMFAR, BFAR, etc ?

Thanks!

  • Hi Chandrashekhar,

FSR (Fault Status Register) and FAR (Fault Address Register) generally pertain to ARM Cores.  F28P650 has C2000 cores and do not have exact fault register mapping as the ARM cores.  In C2000. faults are usually treated as NMIs (Non-maskable Interrupts).  There is a section in the System Control and Interrupt chapter of the Technical Reference Manual that discusses about NMI on how to configure and read the flags as well as ERRORSTS (error status).  Faults typically cause RESET and when they occur, the cause of reset can be determined from the RESC (reset cause) register.
