TMS320F28379D: SysConfig enabled project ?

Part Number: TMS320F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG, C2000WARE

Tool/software:

I think that after adding a PinMux.exe generated file (*.pinmux) to my project, it became sysConfig enabled.

Now I can't change the Variant and core type via the Project Properties.

Two questions:

1) Can I undo this? I tried excluding the folder that contains the .pinmux file, but that didn't work.

2) Where is SysConfig in CCS?

3) I tried launching SysConfig from the windows start menu and it crashes. How to fix?

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Paul

Please find response to your queries below

    1. A CCS project becomes SysConfig enabled if you add any file with .syscfg extension to the project. In this case, the file "F2837xS-BP-CMC+_16.pinmux" looks to a syscfg file.

    2. SysConfig is a GUI based tool used to simplify and provide support for configuring pins, peripherals,  clock tree and other components.

SysConfig is available as part of the CCS (C:\ti\ccs2002\ccs\utils\sysconfig_1.22.0) as well as a standalone application.

    3.  The minimum version of Syscofig is 1.21 for C2000Ware v5.04.00.00 . You will have to update the CCS/Sysconfig to get this error resolved.
