TMS320F28377S-Q1: Request for FMEDA Document for TMS320F28377SPZPQ

Part Number: TMS320F28377S-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear Texas Instruments Support Team,

We are currently using the TMS320F28377SPZPQ microcontroller in our design. As part of our development process, we are conducting a component-level FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis).

We are aware that the TMS320F28377SPZPQ is automotive qualified and supports functional safety. However, in order to properly complete our FMECA analysis, we need access to detailed failure modes and failure rate data for this device.

We have checked the Texas Instruments website and reviewed the Functional Safety Manual, Quality, Reliability & Packaging Data, and the MTBF/FIT Estimator. Unfortunately, we could not find any FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis) or Failure Analysis Report documents specifically for the TMS320F28377SPZPQ.

Could you please share the FMEDA documentation or let us know how we can obtain it?

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to your response.

  • The FMEDA is part of our TI safety package.

Follow this process to access non-public safety information such as: Self-Test Library, Failure Modes, Effects,
and Diagnostics Analysis (FMEDA), including tools for estimating module and device-level failure rates (FIT),
calculating ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 safety metrics, and training:

    1. Contact your local TI Sales Person to request access to the:
      1. C2000 Safety Package for QM MCUs
      2. C2000 Safety Package for Automotive and Industrial MCUs
      3. Additional Functional Safety Self-Test Libraries, CLA_STL and C28x_STL, for applicable devices
    2. If approved, they will provide you with a request URL:
      1. Log-in with your my.ti.com user ID and password and fill-out the form.
      2. If accepted, you will receive an email with download instructions.
