Target configuration for custom board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335, CCSTUDIO

hi

I would like to know few things

1  What is the "Board Data File" in  Advance target configuration-> connection properties.

2. Do I have to create one for the custom board that we have created ?

info about the system : TMS320F28335 , JTAG BH USB 2000 , CCstudio Version  4.2.4.00033

  • Amol,

Connecting to the device is designed to not be difficult enough to go into the advanced settings.  The "Basic" target setup should work fine for you and most emulator's drivers are built into CCS4.  In "Basic", just select "Blackhawk USB2000 Controller" from the drop down and then check the "TMDS320F28335" option.  Save, make sure that your project is using your created target configuration and then you should be fine.

You will not need to worry about creating "Board Data Files", but if interested, you can find information in TI white paper: spraa08.

    Thank you,
    Brett
