Dear C2000 expert,

It looks that rom flash api is legacy COFF, if my project output formate is eabi(elf), is it possible to use ROM FLASH API? What are the risks of using rom flash api in eabi(elf)?

Hi,

Yes for F28004x device rom flash api is legacy COFF. But we have flash api library in EABI format as well placed at location <C2000ware install path\libraries\flash_api\f28004x\lib>.

Rajeshwary,

I know there are eabi lib in c2000ware, as you know flash api has to run in ram or other flash bank to erase or program flash content, but the ram and flash space is run out in my code, so I plan to change use the rom flash api, so I'd like to know what are the risks of using rom flash api in eabi(elf) project?

Hi,

You can't use coff library in eabi format, you will get compilation errors.
