Hi TI Team,

Does the F280015x support for the following crypto algorithms:

SHA-512 for hashing, ed25519ph as specified in [RfC 8032] for Signature Verification, Random number generation PRNG according to [SP800-90A Rev.1], Encryption/Decryption with AES-256-GCM according to [[FIPS-197]], compression/decompression using LZSS algorithm
Can we have a compressed Flash Library using LZSS algorithm?

By compressed Flash library, are you referring to the Flash API library?

Yes, we need to store the Flash API library in a compress form in ROM and just after performing Security Access in Bootloader to be moved in RAM in an uncompressed form. The compression shall be done using LZSS algorithm

Greg,

The customer is asking if the Flash API library can be compressed using LZSS, stored in Flash, and then uncompressed later into RAM.

For the first step, does the C2000 compiler support such a feature? I believe it supports compression of C initialization data using LZSS, but not sure if an entire library can be compressed.

For the second step (assuming we somehow accomplish the first step above), I presume we would need some sort of runtime decompression routine that decompresses the library.

The TI compiler does not provide support for doing lzss compression/decompression.

The library does include an lzss decompression routine for use during global cinit, however, there is not a corresponding lzss compression routine in the library since the compression is done by the linker when it generates the compressed cinit records.

There are any SW Compression/Decompression libraries which can do the decompression at runtime available for the C2000 ? I was not able to find something in the standard SW library.

Hi Denis,

Apologies for the delayed reply. My expertise here is limited. It is my understanding that you would have a number of software options (open source or otherwise) available that implement runtime decompression. You could take those and run them on the C2000.
