TMS320F280041C: MotorControl SDK no power

Part Number: TMS320F280041C

Tool/software:

Greetings! I have a working version of a frequeny inverter using your MotorControl SDK v5_03. So I built a bigger one. Absolutely the same but with bigger power module and bigger current sensors. So I corrected the USER_ADC_FULL_SCALE_CURRENT_A accordingly. In lab02 the voltages and the currents of the lines are aroung 50%. But in Lab03 I don`t have power. A connected small motor is spinning but... A big motor doesn`t start at all. The USER_ADC_FULL_SCALE_VOLTAGE_V and USER_NOMINAL_DC_BUS_VOLTAGE_V are the same as the smaller version. The carry frequency also...

Any suggestions what can cause this?

Thanks!

  • For a larger motor, you likely need higher startup current, defined in user_mtr1.h. When it fails to start, what errors are present in the motorVars object faultNow variable for that motor? That should point you in the right direction.
