I want to create and array of uint16 from a simple CM application, then I want to copy data from CPU1 to CPU1TOCM ram and boot CM. Which are best settings to create the array in Arm Hex utility?

I have see something similar in C:\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_5_04_00_00\driverlib\f2838x\examples\c28x_cm\flash_kernel\flash_kernel_c28x_cm_ex1_sci_boot_cpu1.c, but how can'I compile only this function without a main?

Once you have the CM application compiled, you should be able to generate the HEX file using the HEX utility and include that array in CPU1 code.

1) In C28x code define the array and place it in specific section.

#pragma DATA_SECTION(myArray, "CPU1TOCM_RAM")

uint16_t myArray[ARRAY_SIZE];

2) In linker file, map the section appropriately.

MEMORY

{

CPU1TOCM_RAM : origin = 0x0003F800, length = 0x000007FF /* 2kB RAM */

}

SECTIONS

{

CPU1TOCM_RAM : > CPU1TOCM_RAM

}

Below are few general settings for the ARM Hex Utility -

- Format: TI-TXT (most common for TI devices)

- Byte Order: Little-endian

- Array Output Format:

- Width: 16 bits

- Address: 32 bits
