TMS320F28062: The chip burning was locked

Part Number: TMS320F28062

Tool/software:

Hi,

The customer encountered a problem of locking the chip during burning.

May I ask how to unlock the chip lock?
Under what circumstances will a chip be locked?

Thanks~

  • Hi Rhea,

Have you reviewed the F2806x SysCtrl chapter for best practices on using CSM?

    Thank you,

    Luke

  • Hi Luke,

Regarding the chip locking, the customer has the following questions:

    1. Judging from the phenomenon, the chip seems to be in a locked state, but it is not certain whether it is really locked. There was no active locking operation by humans throughout our entire operation process. So now we just want to know what causes the chip to be locked?

    2. Since we did not actively lock the chip, attempting to unlock it with the default password 0xFFFF was unsuccessful. For the sample boards with problems in the factory, we are unable to unlock them. Could the original manufacturer please inform us how to unlock it.

The attached picture shows the interface of the relevant verification steps and can be referred to.

    Thanks~

  • Hi Rhea,

I think this part is bricked, this can happen if the program / erase operations are interrupted. I'll add one of our flash experts to assist further with this question.

    Thank you,

    Luke
