The F28027 is a functional safety quality-managed device. It does not have an FMEDA.
In the document "Safety Manual for C2000 MCUs in IEC60730 Safety Applications (Rev. A)" we find in paragraph 1.1:
Each of the C2000 MCU supporting safety applications may support limited FMEA analysis summary.
These are available as NDA documents only. Please contact your TI field and support for product-specific FMEA.
Do you have FMEA document?
Thank you very much for your support
Hi Federico,
I'm looking into your questions. Please allow a couple of days for response.
Hi Federico,
Sorry for the delay. As this is an older device it's taking a little longer to track down the right people. I will come back as soon as possible
Hi Federico,
Do you have the declaration that TM320F28027PT is a safety quality-managed?
There is no specific declaration for the F2802x. However, as described in "Safety Manual for C2000 MCUs in IEC60730 Safety Applications" document":
Texas Instruments has been developing microcontrollers for industrial and automotive markets that require safety and non-safety applications for over twenty years. Industrial and automotive markets have strong requirements on quality management and high product reliability. Though not explicitly developed for compliance to a functional safety standard, the TI standard MCU development process already featured many elements necessary to manage systematic faults. This development process can be considered to be Quality Managed (QM), but does not achieve an IEC 61058 Safety Integrity Level (SIL) or ISO 26262 Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL).
Do you have FMEA document?
TI has an FMEDA for the F2803x device, which is similar to the F2802x device. You can see a description of both F2803x and F2802x families in the "Safety Manual for C2000 MCUs in IEC60730 Safety Applications" document, see "4.3.4 Type D: C28x CPU With Control and Analog Subsystem – Piccolo2x Family". This document can be shared under NDA. Does your company have an NDA with TI?
Hi Gus,
thank you very much. We don't have an NDA with TI but we have downloaded the document from your website.
Let me know if we can reach other documents with a NDA.
Please contact your local TI Representative, and they can help you with an NDA.
