During the code migration from the F28x series (TMS320F28379D) to the F29x series (TMS320F29H850TU9), an error is being encountered:
unknown type "__interrupt".

This error appears even though no interrupt is explicitly defined at the indicated location.

Can you provide a snippet of the entire error message?

In F28x, the “__interrupt“ attribute was used to indicate to the compiler whether a function is an ISR and add the appropriate disassembly instructions for proper operation.

In F29x, the “__attribute__((interrupt("int_kind")))” is used instead for the same purpose explained above. In other words, when migrating interrupt code, ensure you are not using the old F28x attribute and only using the F29x one. If you are using SysConfig, this is taken care in board.h. Ensure the same updates are made in application code. Hi Aishwarya R,

Made necessary changes such as changing pragmas with appropriate attributes, things that should be changed for c29 clang compiler.

it is highlighting where interrupt is not declared explicitly.

Hi Shashank,

It looks like your code is referencing C2000WARE DP SDK which isn't supported by F29H85x. In your project directory and properties, please delete (or exclude from build) all files as well as project paths, respectively, that are not F29x specific. Since we do not have the F29x SDK, you may consider some custom files, if needed. At this point, you should be able to rebuild the project (or clean + build) with no errors, hopefully.
